It was crunch time for Rhein-Neckar Löwen in the final minutes of the second leg of their Last 16 tie with THW Kiel. They needed two goals to equalise with Kiel if they were to make it to the quarter-final, but they just couldn’t seem to find the net. In the end Kiel won 26:24, to make it 50:49 in their favour on aggregate.
